Celebrate Mother’s Day with Women for Women International

Mothers around the world share the same hopes and dreams: they want to care for their children and families; they want their children to have bright futures and live in peace. Make this Mother’s Day a joyous occasion for mothers everywhere by making a donation to Women for Women International.

 

Send a Mother’s Day Card. When you make a donation, we’ll send a handmade Mother’s Day card to honor an important woman in your life. The cards were hand crafted by Women for Women International’s participants in Rwanda.

 

Here’s How It Works:

• Click on the Donate button to go to our Mother’s Day Donation page
• Complete the information and choose either a card to be mailed to your recipient or an Ecard to be delivered via email
• Give us the name and address or email address of your honoree and we’ll send the Mother’s Day card at right to arrive by Sunday, May 10th.

*Please note that we cannot guarantee delivery of mailed cards in time for Mother’s Day for donations received after May    6th. To ensure timely delivery of your Mother’s Day donation, please instead choose an Ecard.

Emma on her Bat Mitzvah day

To spread awareness and support for women in war-torn regions among her family and friends, Emma Youcha chose to share her Bat Mitzvah with Women for Women International. She suggested donations to Women for Women International in lieu of traditional gifts, and raised more than $900!

A Birthday to Celebrate!

Andrea Price went all out for her birthday this year. In place of gifts, Andrea asked her friends to please make a donation to Women for Women International. Andrea’s birthday donations amounted to more than $2,850! Happy Birthday Andrea – thank you for sharing your celebration with women survivors of war.

Tara Kane, one of our wonderful dedicated supporters and someone who admits loving her own birthday, recently celebrated by dedicating her birthday party to Women for Women International. Her dedication helped raise over $100 and spread awareness for our programs and for the lives of women we work with. This party was truly inspiring as she was able to make her birthday a celebration for a worthy cause and help to make a difference for other women of the world. Happy Birthday Tara and thank you for all you’ve done!

Young and Tone Wedding

Clare Young has been very involved with Women for Women International for several years, sponsoring sisters from Afghanistan, Rwanda and Iraq. On August 31^st, she will be getting married to Kevin Tone in a beautiful and intimate Colorado ceremony. They have decided to perform a true act of selflessness by asking their wedding guests to donate to their favorite charities as a special wedding present to them. Clare has truly given us a great honor by choosing Women for Women International as a charity to have her guests donate to.
