The evening will feature a panel discussion with Zainab Salbi, Founder and CEO of Women for Women International, and the cast of “RUINED.”
“RUINED,” is a play that tells the stories of violence, loss, conflict and the tremendous strength of women rape survivors in the Eastern regions of the Congo. Having won both the 2009 Pulitzer Prize and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play, “RUINED” takes its inspiration from the strength of women who have suffered rape and stigmatization yet carry on in the face of tremendous obstacles. On June 12th, “RUINED” will benefit the women of Eastern Congo.
