Seattle Supporters Host an International Dinner to Benefit WfWI

On March 11, 2012, Advocates for Women (A4W) at Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Church in Edmonds, WA hosted their third community benefit dinner with all funds raised generously donated to Women for Women International. Speakers for the event included Deborah Bassett, Seattle-based Volunteer Ambassador for Women for Women International, and Carolyn Scott Brown, Director of Learning Resources at Seattle’s FaithTrust Institute. After the talks, attendees enjoyed a delicious international meal with dishes from Iran, Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo. Many thanks to A4W organizers Donna Leavitt, Nancy Samuels, Maria Fuller, and Julie Dayne and the amazing A4W team for organizing this benefit that raised more than $1000 to help women survivors of war rebuild their lives!
